Company History
Our company produces and distributes PE based packaging materials. Its legal predecessor was established in 1968 as a subsidiary of a co-operative manufacturing polyethylene (PE) packaging materials. At the end of the 1960s it was one of the first newly established plastic converters on a national level, after the Plastic Converter Division of TVK Rt.
Since 1995 – after leaving the co-operative – our company has operated under the name ‘Lajosmizsei Folplast Kft.’, established by several private individuals-owners. Significant environmental and technological developments have been performed in order to meet the continuously increasing requirements for quality and volume.
Development and improvement
As a result of our environmental developments, the production plant area was increased by close to 1,500 m2 in 2006, which was expanded by another 1,000 m2 high-storage area in 2008. In this way, both the raw material and the finished product warehousing capacity increased considerably.
During the improvement of our technology we expanded our resources with new production equipment. We put into operation a new three-track Saldoflex custom packaging machine in 2002, and altogether three new 3-layer Windmöller & Hölscher film extruders in the years 2005, 2008, and 2011. In the spirit of cost-efficiency and the more and more stringent environmental expectations we purchased a new EREMA regranulating extruder in 2008 thereby minimising the proportion of unconverted waste derived from the production of scrap.
Thanks to the new machinery, we can offer a wider product scope that meets our customers' requirements better. We can produce bags and sacks with our custom packaging machinery in a tearable block form. With the single- and multilayer extruders we are able to produce many different products from trash bags through plastic mulch and special fine and shrink-wrap films to stretch hoods from different polyethylene raw materials. With our in-line printing machine we can perform 6 colour flexographic printing even up to 1,800 mm width. We are able to satisfy special customer requirements with our micro and macro perforating machines, mini printing presses and other ancillary equipment. We can serve our customers flexibly and quickly with our own truck and pickup truck fleet.
Growth and awards
As a result of our continuous growth, our company became the 5th medium-sized enterprise on the list of the most dynamically growing companies in the Southern Great Plain region (Bács-Kiskun, Csongrád and Békés counties) and the 64th on a national level, according to a survey performed by Világgazdaság, a respected daily business paper.
The Lajosmizsei Folplast Kft. obtained a prestigious recognition by winning 2nd position at the Pegazus Award (in the category “Eastern Hungarian region: Market Leader”) in 2009.
During this period, our company became a determinant player on the market of blown polyethylene film products. As a result of our development work we manufacture and distribute close to 10,000 tonnes of packaging materials annually. We sell our products both domestically and abroad. Given our expertise, our goal is to meet all of our partners’ expectations as far as possible. This is guaranteed by our 40 years of experience and competitive prices.
